KAMLOOPS - A company filming a movie in and around Kamloops is looking for extras.

The film Red Snow is about an Indigenous soldier from the Northwest Territories being held hostage in Kandahar, Afghanistan, according to a Thompson-Nicola Film Commission media release.

The production is looking for men, women and children for various roles. All the roles are non-speaking.

Potential extras must be Canadian citizens or have a work permit, have their own vehicle and be available for 12-hour days between May 7 and May 26. Minors must have a parent or guardian with them on set.

The casting call will take place Saturday, May 5 at the Plaza Hotel at 405 Victoria St. in Kamloops from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Those living in Kamloops or have their own accommodation will be given preference, the film commission says.
