KAMLOOPS - A house fire has caused extensive damage to a home in Kamloops' Westsyde neighbourhood.

The report of a fire in the 2900 block of Bank Road came in shortly before 6 p.m. last night Feb. 21, says Kamloops Fire Rescue Platoon Capt. Jim Gorman.

Crews were able to knock the flames down but the house has extensive damage, Gorman says.

Fire investigators were on scene today, but so far the cause of the fire is undetermined.

It's not known if the home was occupied at the time of the fire.
