London fire brigade says it is responding to reports of helicopter crash near Thames

LONDON - London's Fire Brigade says it is responding to reports that a helicopter has crashed near the River Thames in London during the early morning rush hour.

A photo shown on Sky News showed wreckage burning in a street.

Some witnesses reported that a helicopter had collided with a construction crane.

A large plume of black smoke was seen rising in the area, close to the Waterloo train station.

There were no immediate reports on casualties.
