WINNIPEG - A nurse who was working at a Winnipeg hospital where a man died during a 34-hour wait says she doesn't remember ever seeing the man or his name on the triage list.

Jan Kozubal told the inquest into the death of Brian Sinclair that the emergency room at Health Sciences Centre was busy back in September 2008.

She says there were only two triage nurses working that day instead of three.

Kozubal says it was tough to keep up with the workload.

Sinclair, who was a double-amputee, went to the hospital because he hadn't urinated in 24 hours.

He died of a treatable bladder infection in the waiting room without being examined.
