ELECTION 2014: LAKE COUNTRY RE-ELECTS James Baker

LAKE COUNTRY - James Baker has won the mayor's seat once again for Lake Country District with 1215 votes in a close race against Jayson McCarthy who received 990 during the civic election held Nov. 15, 2014.

There are 9316 estimated elegible voters in Lake Country and 2219 votes were cast, meaning the turnout was approximately 23.8 per cent. The wait time to process voters at the polls was half an hour, longer than most other Okanagan polling stations.
