KELOWNA – The Easter bunny is going to need a long break after all the events he has in Kelowna this weekend.

Most of the action happens Sunday, but the weekend kicks of Saturday with Easter at the Kelowna Farmers' Market at Parkinson Recreation Centre.

This family friendly event features an Easter scavenger hunt, live music, a kids craft table and all the usual quality artisan goods. This is the last indoor market of the season before moving to the Springfield Road location April 7.

The Johnson Bentley Aquatic Centre in West Kelowna is holding their 8th annual Easter Egg Hunt. Find the golden egg and win one of 25 prize baskets. There will also be free hotdogs and refreshments.

If you’re in Lake Country, take the kids to Jack Seaton Park on Camp Road between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a free egg hunt 12 and younger, entertainment, balloons, painted bunny noses, and hot-dogs. Sign-up for egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. with the hunt staring at noon.

An ASL interpreter will be provided at this event for the enjoyment and participation of the deaf and hard-of-hearing members of the community.

Big White Ski Resort has a whole weekend of events to celebrate Easter.

There will be an Easter Breakfast with a guest appearance from the Easter Bunny in Happy Valley on Saturday and Sunday. Photos with the bunny will be available by the Village Chair between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Happy Valley Day Lodge will also be running an egg decorating station between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. all weekend and the Happy Day Lodge will host a Breakfast with the Easter Bunny Sunday morning.

On Easter Sunday, the Ski School will hide chocolate eggs throughout the village for one of the biggest egg hunts in the Okanagan.

“Look up, down, in and around - don't think that Ski School will make this easy,” the event website says.
