PENTICTON - A family of rockers performing in Penticton might be the biggest thing this week but there will still be options for those looking for a smaller more intimate event.

Those heading outdoors will meet a mix of sun and cloud and a 30 per cent chance of snow late in the afternoon Friday. Unfortunately, there might be rain on Friday night. Saturday's temperature will hit a high of 7 Celsius with a possibility of showers. A high of 5 C Sunday will come with a 60 per cent chance of rain.

The temperature will be constant and the air will be dry inside the South Okanagan Event Centre tonight. The Band Perry plays at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Penticton is the kickoff of their North American leg of the We Are Pioneers World Tour.

The trio of siblings, Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry will not only bring their hit songs, If I Die Young, You Lie and All Your Life but also special guests Easton Corbin and Lindsay Ell.

For tickets and information visit the Valley First Box Office at the centre and at the Penticton and Wine Country Visitor Centre. Alternatively call 1-877-763-2849.

Rick Wood, the Shindigger, will be playing the South Main Drop-In Centre. The live performer will be bringing his guitar and his collection of hits from the 1950s all the way to modern times. Wood can play songs from Buddy Holly, The Eagles, Prince, Roy Orbison and more.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and costs $6 per person. For more information call 250-493-2111.

On Sunday the Children's Showcase presents the Super Cooligans, a group of performers and actors. The geared-for-children show is one element of the Children's Showcase which has been performing for kids for 30 years.

The Penticton Community Centre will cage the Cooligan craziness starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $12 per person and are available by calling 250-492-6222 or at the door.
