KAMLOOPS - A 59-year-old woman from Prince George was arrested last night in Kamloops after crashing into three vehicles and then colliding into a house.

Police say they received numerous complaints of an erratic driver yesterday, Oct. 22, at roughly 10 p.m. on Highway 5 in Kamloops heading northbound.

As officers were heading to the scene they received more reports that the vehicle had exited the highway at Copperhead Drive and entered the Pineview area, according to an RCMP media release.

The female driver travelled down Foxtrail Drive and hit three parked — empty — vehicles before crashing into a residence.

Police say there are no injuries in the residence that was hit.

The woman was arrested on scene for dangerous driving and was transported to a medical facility with head injuries sustained from the airbag deploying in her Ford Focus car.

Officers say the driver displayed possible signs of impairment but the investigation is still ongoing to determine if alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident.

The woman is not known to police, RCMP say.
