The World Tour of Freestyle Motocross is making a stop Penticton.

The FMX, event will showcase athletes on motorcycles performing acrobatic manoeuvres after launching off ramps, according to a media release from the South Okanagan Events Centre.

“Fans can expect to see death-defying stunts, such as backflips, 360s, and whip tricks, as riders soar high in the air and push the limits of what's possible on two wheels,” the release says.

Riders will be in competition for the championship title during the main event, and there will also be exhibition runs and a trick contest. 

The event takes place March 25 at the at the events centre. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. through ValleyFirstTix.com.

Prices range from $20 to $45 for adults and children 12 and under are $10, plus fees.
