Did you feel that? Small earthquake hits the South Okanagan

Penticton quake rattles the city.

PENTICTON - Not only did Penticton residents feel the 2.6 magnitude earthquake Sunday morning, they heard it.

On the Penticton Facebook page, dozens of South Okanaganites described feeling and hearing a quake the US Geological Survey said hit 25 kilometres outside Penticton at  around 9:44 a.m.

“My house rocked with what ever it was. I was on the deck and it shook like something drove into the house,” wrote one woman, an hour after the quake.

Another said her house “shook for a couple of seconds” and she wondered if it could have been an earthquake.
