Canada advances to world men's curling semifinal with 8-6 win over Denmark

VICTORIA - Canada has advanced to the semifinal of the world men's curling championships.

Brad Jacobs' Northern Ontario rink beat Denmark 8-6 in the Page 3-4 playoff game and will face Scotland in the semifinal later today.

The winner of the Canada-Scotland game will advances to tomorrow's final against Sweden.

Denmark was relegated to the bronze-medal game, which will also be played Sunday. The Danes will face the team that loses the semifinal.
