A semi spilt a load of lumber in a collision on Highway 97A north of Enderby Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021 closing the route in both directions.

Both lanes of Highway 97A in Enderby are currently closed after a collision caused a semi-truck to spill lumber across the highway.
According to a Vernon North Okanagan media release, Highway 97A is now closed from the junction of Highway 97A and 97B north to Grindrod.
The multi-vehicle crash near Springbend Road involved two commercial vehicles and a pickup truck at approximately 9:05 a.m. today, Feb. 2, RCMP said.
A northbound semi with a large load of lumber failed to negotiate a curve hitting a southbound commercial vehicle and a pickup, spilling lumber across the highway.
The driver of the semi that overturned was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries, RCMP said.
Crews are now on scene to clear the highway as commercial vehicle safety enforcement officers investigate.
Northbound traffic on Highway 97A is being rerouted via Highway 97B and southbound traffic is being rerouted to Enderby via the Enderby-Grindrod Road.
There is no estimated time of reopening, although RCMP said the highway will likely be closed into the evening.
