Central Okanagan Public Schools has announced two more potential COVID-19 exposures at schools.

The school district confirmed a case of COVID-19 at MarJok Elementary School in West Kelowna and at Rutland Senior Secondary in Kelowna, in media releases today, Dec. 2.

Interior Health identified a potential exposure on Nov. 23 at Mar Jok and at Rutland Senior Secondary there were potential exposures on Nov. 19, 23, 24, and 27.

The school district did not specify if a student or staff member tested positive at the schools.

The school district said it will continue to implement the strict health and safety protocols and procedures that are in place so students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible and will work with Interior Health to determine if any additional actions are required, and to support ongoing communication to the schools.

The school district reminds people to stay home from school if they show any symptoms.
