KELOWNA - A rising star in the country music scene is putting his considerable talents to good use by hosting an upcoming benefit concert in Kelowna.

Kelowna's Ben Klick is organizing a concert at the Kelowna Community Theatre on May 5 to raise money for the MS Society of Canada.

According to a press release, Klick was inspired to put on the concert after his father's recent multiple sclerosis diagnosis.

"Once we got the news, I knew I had to do something to help," Klick said in the release. "So I made a few calls to some friends within the community in the Okanagan and the Canadian Country Music industry with an idea, and everyone I asked was ready to help in whatever way they could.”

Klick will be joined by fellow musician and Juno award winner Jess Moskaluke at the show.

All proceeds raised will go to the MS Society of Canada. The goal is to raise $50,000.

Tickets go on sale March 4 and will be available for purchase at KelownaTickets.com. Regular admission is $50 and VIP passes are $100. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
