KAMLOOPS - Unsettled and cooler conditions are in store for Kamloops as we head toward the weekend.
Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud this afternoon, July 19, with a 30 per cent chance of showers and the risk of a thunderstorm. The mercury is expected to rise to 30 Celsius with a 30 km/h wind out of the west.
There is a 30 per cent chance of showers and the risk of a thunderstorm tonight, with the west wind becoming light late in the evening and an overnight low of 16 C.
The weather is expected to change significantly tomorrow with a 70 per cent chance of showers and the risk of a thunderstorm The wind will become west at 20 km/h in the morning with a daytime high of only 20 C. Overnight there is a 60 per cent chance of showers and a low of 11 C.
On Saturday, expect a cloudy day with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 20 C. Skies are forecast to clear overnight, with the temperature dropping to 14 C.
The sun should return on Sunday with a high of 30 C and an overnight low of 14 C.
Normal temperatures for this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 29 C and lows of 14 C.
