PENTICTON - The City of Penticton has come up with a fun competition that should resonate with all who enjoy taking 'selfies' and skiing.

It's called the Send Us Your Selfski and You Could Be Here Competition and rewards the winner with an all-inclusive, one week vacation on Apex Mountain.

A 'selfie' is a picture someone takes of themselves using their phone or another device such as a computer. It has become a popular way for the public to grab a picture of themselves in a special moment and the photos are often posted to online social media pages. The so called 'selfski' however is more specific, and contestants are asked to take a picture of themselves in ski apparal or in a ski setting, anywhere on the planet. To enter, the picture must be sent along with the online entry form. That's it.

The grand prize consists of six ski passes for two (12 total), six nights accommodation at the Apex Mountain Inn, a $100 gift certificate for the Rock Oven Grill, A $150 gift certificate for the Gunbarrel Saloon and a $25 gift certificate for the Edge Bistro. The prize value is approximately $2600. The winner will also be featured in an exclusive winter promo video.

Only one grand prize will be awarded. The competition closes Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:59 PST.
