Clouds and some rain in the forecast for the Okanagan this weekend

OKANAGAN - Plan for clouds and showers on the weekend in the Okanagan, with Saturday looking like the best of the two day weather-wise.

Today, Aug. 4, may be the best day to catch some rays with Environment Canada calling for sunshine and a high of about 31 Celsius in Kelowna and Penticton. Vernon will see a mix of sun and cloud today with a 30 per cent showers, a risk of a thundershower and a high of 30 C.

The forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies in the Okanagan tomorrow, with a chance of showers, risk of a thundershower and a high of around 30 C. Tomorrow night the temperature will drop down to 14 C.

Expect a mix of sun and cloud on Saturday, with a 30 per cent chance of showers and cooler with a high of 25 C. For those camping, the overnight low is forecast at 13 C.

Sunday looks like it could be a soggy day. Environment Canada is calling for clouds and showers, with a high of 27 C and a low of 13 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of about 27 C and lows around 14 C.
