A valuable classic pickup truck was stolen from its owner in Kelowna earlier this week.

Kelowna RCMP were notified by the owner at around 2:30 p.m. yesterday, Sept. 26, his burnt-orange 1958 GMC pickup truck was stolen from a fenced parking lot located int the 1300 block of St. Paul Street sometime overnight, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP said marks in the gravel show a tilt trailer was used to steal the truck, which is in showroom condition and is valued between $35,000 and $45,000.

"The passionate owner of this truck invested hours of his time and money into this vehicle," Kelowna RCMP media relations officer Const. Mike Della-Paolera said in the release.

"The truck does stand out, and we want to return it as soon as possible to its rightful owner."

RCMP haven't identified any suspects or witnesses.
