KAMLOOPS – The City of Kamloops is pleased to announce its new property information portal — a one stop location for easy access to property information in Kamloops.
This portal is designed to make property information more convenient and accessible to the public. Compiled in one easy location, the portal provides access to such information as assessment data, mapping, legal descriptions, transit and fire hall proximities, and even garbage collection schedules and zones.
As part of the property information portal, the City is introducing a new public web service called “myNeighbourhood”. myNeighbourhood is a web-based mapping service that allows the general public, homeowners or any interested party to view basic information on many of the City’s permits or applications in progress. myNeighbourhood also provides a geographic and tabular data report for each property.
Development and Engineering Services Director Marvin Kwiatkowski states, “We are excited about this new initiative which provides the general public, businesses and the development community with a comprehensive visual map of all current development activity. What was previously produced manually on paper once a year is now dynamic and updated as soon as an application is received. There is also great potential for myNeighbourhood to expand and display other types of municipal projects and activities.”
