City Hall alternative approval process public information events

WEST KELOWNA - The City of West Kelowna is offering a number of opportunities throughout the community for residents to get more information about the proposed West Kelowna City Hall and Alternative Approval Process (AAP) currently underway.

The public is invited to join Mayor Doug Findlater and members of West Kelowna Council at:

City Hall/AAP Open House
Wednesday, April 6, 2016
5 to 7 p.m.
Westbank Lions Hall
2466 Main Street, West Kelowna

There will be a formal presentation by Mayor Findlater at 5:15 p.m. followed by an open microphone for questions and comments from those attending. Refreshments will be provided.

The City of West Kelowna will also be providing information booths at the following locations and dates/times:

- Westbank Library, Westridge Mall, 2484 Main Street on Monday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to noon
- West Kelowna Warriors Game, Royal LePage Place, 2760 Cameron Road on Wednesday, April 6 beginning 7 p.m.
- Johnson Bentley Pool, 3737 Old Okanagan Highway on Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to noon

Until 4 p.m. on May 3, West Kelowna voters will have their say in an AAP for the borrowing of up to $10.5 million to construct a new City Hall, part of the larger West Kelowna Civic Centre project.

Only those opposed to the borrowing of funds for the proposed City Hall must submit forms indicating their opposition.

Voters who approve of borrowing funds do not need to submit forms. Forms are available at Municipal Hall, 2760 Cameron Road, or online at www.westkelownacity.ca. Forms will also be available at all of the public outreach events.
