Chilly start to the week in Kamloops

PENTICTON - Wind chill will be a factor tonight and tomorrow in Kamloops with the possibility of snow on Thursday.

Environment Canada says to expect mainly sunny skies this morning, Jan. 28, with a high of 1 Celsius. Fog patches are forecast to develop after midnight with a low of -7 C. The 15 km/h wind overnight will make the low of feel like -12 C.

The weather office is calling for clouds and fog tomorrow morning with a mix of sun and cloud in the afternoon and a daytime high of -1 C. The wind chill is expected to be - 12 C in the morning and -5 C in the afternoon.

On Wednesday the forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 1 C.

Periods of snow are expected on Thursday with a high of 1 C. The snow may change to rain Thursday night with the temperature remaining steady around 1 C.

The forecast calls for a cloudy day on Friday with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 5 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 1 C and lows of -6 C.
