KAMLOOPS - Although smoky skies don't seem to be leaving the city of Kamloops for the weekend, here's a list of activities for you to check out and make the most of your weekend.

Start your Friday, Aug. 17 night off with a live performance at The Plaza Hotel in downtown Kamloops. Margit Sky Project will be performing from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. They're a local acoustic rock band that has performed all over B.C.'s Interior. 

Want to learn about mindfulness and yoga with the whole family? On Saturday, Aug. 18 head down to Yoga Loft Kamloops to practice yoga, meditation and mindfulness. This family yoga class starts at 11: 45 a.m. and requires registration. It's a 75-minute class and is $15 per family for one class.  For more information on how to register, go here.

Head over to McDonald Park on Sunday, Aug. 19 to celebrate Overlander's Day hosted by the Kamloops North Shore Business Improvement Association. The celebrations start at 9 a.m. with a donation pancake breakfast by the Lion's Club. Shortly after breakfast, the opening ceremonies will kick off and the day will be filled with family-friendly activities to enjoy. Some of the things to check out include a bouncy castle, a firetruck demo, pie eating contests and much more. For more information on go here.
