OKANAGAN – The last thing crews battling wildfires need is lighting and unfortunately, there is a chance of thunderstorms today in the Okanagan.

Today, July 20, the high should reach about 23 Celsius in the valley, and bring a chance of showers or thunderstorms lasting until tonight, according to Environment Canada's forecast. Tonight's low should drop to about 13 C.

Plan for mainly sunny skies on Friday and a high of about 26 C. There's a 40 per cent chance of rain overnight and a low of 15 C.

The weekend looks to be hot and sunny with a high of 28 C and a mix of sun and cloud on Saturday and a high of 33 C on Sunday. Expect lows of about 17 C.

The temperature should stay in the 30s next week, along with possible showers on Monday.
