Care packages in the form of stockings are being put together to hand out to the homeless on Christmas eve.

There has already been so many donations from kind hearted and generous people in our community, as well as from as far away as Scotland!

We have put in each stocking: socks, gloves, hats, wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, chapstick, travel sized shampoo and conditioner, soap, deodorant, water, granola bars, cookies, hand and foot warmers, cough drops, shaving cream, lotion, and bandaids.

We are going to meet at the gospel mission at 6:30 pm on Christmas eve to hand out the stockings with candy canes, Christmas cookies and hot chocolate. So far we have stuffed 72 stockings, but to make sure no one gets left out we need to have a total of 150.

There is a Facebook group called "stockings for change," each donation gets posted as well as an updated tally of all our items, so people can follow along and know which items are still needed. You can contact us via our facebook group as well as by phone.
