CANADA - Better check your fridge for caesar salad products recalled because of possible listeria contamination.

Safeway and St. Martin's Family Foods, Buy-Low Foods and Nester's Market are recalling Caesar salad products sold in British Columbia.

Foods contaminated with listeria can cause nausea, vomiting, fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are at higher risk. Consumption of contaminated food by pregnant women can lead to premature delivery, infection of the newborn or even stillbirth. In severe cases, people may die.

Contaminated food may not appear or smell spoiled. Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.
