Cactus Classic BMX Nationals coming to Kamloops

BMX Canada will be making the third of seven stops this weekend for the Cactus Classic Nationals at McArthur Island BMX in Kamloops.

Riders from around Canada and the United States will be competing in this three-day event. Racing will be held June 14th through 16th at the McArthur Island BMX Track.

Racers will compete in the Strider classes starting at age 2 and advance on to pedal bikes. Classes start with the 5 and under class and go all the way through the 61 and over class. Many riders are competing for points in the National Series that concludes with the Canadian Grand Nationals to be held in Chilliwack the weekend of October 11th to 13th.

Come out and enjoy the Olympic Sport of BMX racing this weekend. Admission is free and the racing action is always exciting. There is a full onsite concession for spectators and participants operated by the Kamloops Lions Club as well as a pancake breakfast both Saturday and Sunday mornings.
