NEEDLES, Calif. - The Latest on a school bus crash in California (all times local):
3:50 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol says a bus carrying dozens of students has been involved in a crash with two big rigs near the Arizona border, causing minor injuries.
Authorities say the bus was stopped at a construction zone on State Route 95 near Needles shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday when it was rear-ended by a semi-truck and pushed into another big rig.
The bus was carrying a volleyball team from Buckeye Union High School in Arizona to a game against the Mohave varsity team in Bullhead City.
The school district says 30 students and three coaches were aboard and the only injuries appear to be bumps and bruises.
The CHP says about eight students complained of pain, with five examined at hospitals.
The driver was briefly trapped on the bus but quickly freed.

CHP Officer Joseph Medina says the collision was reported shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday on State Route 95 near Needles.
Medina says the bus was carrying students from Arizona to a high school volleyball game.
He says the bus was stopped at a construction zone when the truck struck it from behind and pushed it into another semi.
Medina says there were 33 students on board and four or five reportedly suffered injuries. There's no word on their conditions.
Authorities are trying to free the bus driver and have closed down the highway in both directions.
