KAMLOOPS - If you’re driving down Columbia Street on Sunday be prepared to come between two opposing sides in the abortion debate — simultaneous rallies are expected to be held near the corner of Columbia Street and McGill Road Sunday afternoon.
The Tk’emlups “Kamloops” Pro-Choice Society put out a notice on Facebook this week it would be setting up a ‘nonviolent protest for reproductive rights’ on Oct. 5 at 1:30 p.m. The group is rallying for the right to choose whether to have an abortion or not.
The rally is taking place across the street from the annual pro-life rally.
The Life Chain rally, put on by Voices 4 Life, the Kamloops Pro-Life Society, will take place on Sunday from 2-3 p.m. The group will be rallying against abortion and says the “Life Chain is a peaceful witness of pro-life Canadians standing for one hour praying for our country.”
