SUMMERLAND - A boil water notice was issued today for those on the Garnet Valley Water System until further notice.
The District of Summerland says electrical problems caused an interruption in chlorination so water right now is not properly disinfected. There is a risk therefore of bacteria in the water so it must be boiled for one minute before use.
This notice is for all water that could make contact with the mouth, including water used for brushing teeth or washing food.
This notice does not apply to the Summerland Water System.
