Blaze destroys camper in vacant lot

There isn't much left of a camper that went up in flames early in the morning on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 in a vacant lot on Rene Avenue in Penticton.

PENTICTON – An early Sunday morning fire destroyed a camper in Penticton.

The camper was parked in a vacant not on the north end of Rene Street.

It’s not believed anyone was staying in the camper.

One side of a storage shed was blackened by the blaze, a nearby wooden fence was damaged and several small trees burned.

No word yet on the cause of the fire.
