B.C. SPCA investigating suspicious death of cat near Kelowna

The B.C. SPCA is investigating after a cat was found dead in suspicious circumstances near Kelowna.

A domestic short-haired black cat, eight to 10 years old, was found dead by a member of the public at a truck break-stop along Highway 33, according to a release.

Brian Kijowski, regional manager of cruelty investigations for the Okanagan and Interior region, said the death was suspicious.

"We cannot provide more details at this time, but we are urging anyone with knowledge of the situation to please contact the B.C. SPCA Call Centre," Kjowski said in a release.
