NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C. - North Vancouver RCMP confirm that a body found in Lynn Creek on Friday is that of 43 year-old Hai Tao (David) Liu of White Rock.
He was reported missing by his family on Dec. 12, 2013 after going for a hike on the North Shore.
The Mounties say a lone hiker spotted a body in Lynn Creek about one kilometre south of Twin Falls and an RCMP aerial team was needed to recover the body.
The BC Coroners Service has taken charge of the investigation to determine a cause of death.
However, the RCMP says there is no evidence pointing to anything suspicious and foul play has been ruled out.
