A suspected bank robber may have used used bear spray to threaten tellers into turning over cash during a heist Friday evening.
West Kelowna RCMP are searching for a man who entered the TD Canada Trust located at 525 Hwy 97 south at 7:40 p.m. wearing a ski jacket, baseball cap, jeans, sunglasses and a mask. The man leaped over the counter, demanding money with what appeared to be a can of bear spray in hand. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police brought in a service dog to help track the suspect. They were able to find a number of clothing items and the get-away bike, but the man was not found.
No one was injured in the robbery.
