VERNON - The building that used to house Liquidation World is getting a facelift and at least one new occupant.

The warehouse at 3301 30th Avenue has been unoccupied for more than four years. When Liquidation World departed in 2014, it left a void on the street. Realtor Ken McCluskey hopes it's a void that will soon be filled.

McCluskey said Kandola Ventures, a company based out of Kamloops, owns the property. They've divided the building into six units, which are being shopped around to prospective businesses.

Services Canada has already snapped up one of the units.

Currently, there is a demolition permit pasted on the windows of the empty building but McCluskey said the property won't be completely torn down; it'll simply be renovated.

"It's interior demolition," he said. "The roof needs to be replaced."

There is no fixed date for the completion of the renovations.
