KAMLOOPS - A Kamloops man charged in connection to a North Shore shooting in 2017 had his bail hearing adjourned to next month.

Blake Leonard Bernhard, born in 1985, faces numerous charges including possession of a firearm, possessing a weapon obtained through an offence, occupying a vehicle knowing a firearm is present, possessing a firearm with an altered serial number and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, according to court documents.

Bernhard appeared in Kamloops provincial court via CCTV for a scheduled bail hearing today, Nov. 22.

His defense attorney Jeremy Jensen was not present and attorney Daniel McNamee requested to adjourn Bernhard’s bail hearing to Dec. 17, on Jensen's behalf.

Bernhard was arrested and taken into custody on Feb. 2, 2017, in connection to another man being shot in the 1200 block of Sherbrooke Avenue. Police said the male victim was shot in the leg with a small calibre firearm.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.
