PENTICTON - The City has a landscaping deal for anyone looking for paving stones to add to their garden this spring.
Excess paved stone, torn up from Martin Street as part of the Downtown Revitalization Plan, is up for sale at a cost of $75 per pallet. There are approximately 280 to 300 bricks per pallet.
Nearly 2,000 square metres of paver bricks were salvaged during the revitalization project along Martin Street and Westminster Avenue. And the City Yards facility doesn’t have the storage room for it all.
The sale will take place over four days at 616 Okanagan Avenue East. The dates and times are:
Friday, May 23 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, May 24 from 7 a.m. to noon
Friday, May 30 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, May 31 from 7 a.m. to noon
Proceeds from the sale will go towards the Revitalization budget. The City will also make a donation of pavers to the South Okanagan Rehabilitation Centre for Owls in Oliver.
