KAMLOOPS - Those looking for original, affordable artwork made by community artists of all ages should be sure to visit the Kamloops Arts Council's Art Exposed Regional Exhibition, running March 11 to 19, 2016.

The exhibit kicks off Friday, March 11, with an Opening Reception from 5 to 8 p.m. (presentations at 6:30), featuring wine tastings by Harper's Trail and Monte Creek Ranch Winery.

"Come prepared to browse and buy," said Kathy Sinclair, Kamloops Arts Council Executive Director. "You're unlikely to get another chance to see such a diversity of local artwork all in one place."

Art Exposed features over 220 works of art by 141 area artists, from youth to senior. Unique to the TNRD, Art Exposed is open; area residents are invited to submit artwork in any medium - 2D and 3D. Work by artists of all ages and levels will be displayed at the Kamloops Old Courthouse for the duration of the exhibit.

$700 in cash prizes will be awarded at the Opening Reception. This year's jurors are Mayor's Gala Award winner Vaughn Warren, visual artist Wendy Weseen, and visual artist / curator Tracey Kutschker.

People's Choice and Artist's Choice will be awarded at the end of the exhibit.
