KAMLOOPS - An arrest has been made and another suspect has been detained after an assault in Kamloops's Brocklehurst neighbourhood earlier this week.
Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a news release that a 20-year-old Kamloops man was arrested on June 11, and another suspect was detained by police today, June 15.
At roughly 1 p.m., the suspect was seen in a vehicle on Linden Avenue with two other people. Police stopped the vehicle and the suspect was detained. The other two were released at the scene.
On June 9, Kamloops RCMP said an assault happened behind 2535 Glenview Ave. that morning. A man had allegedly been attacked by a group and sustained non life-threatening injuries.
Police believed at the time that the victim was targeted.
