PENTICTON - Tips from the public helped Penticton RCMP track down a suspect in a gas station robbery.

A 46-year-old Penticton woman was arrested Nov. 23 for a robbery that took place at the Skaha Husky on Saturday, Nov. 18.

She has since been released on a promise to appear with conditions and a court date scheduled in early 2018.

Tips from the public helped police make a positive identification of the suspect.

Police spokesperson Cpl. Ted Muchulenko says RCMP also arrested a 27-year-old Penticton man for his part in an alleged television theft at Walmart.

Muchulenko says the suspect turned himself in at the Penticton RCMP detachment and has cooperated with police.

He was released on a promise to appear in court.
