Armed robbery suspect sought in Kamloops

The suspect pulled a handgun from his waistband after being confronted by a staff member on May 8, 2021

Kamloops RCMP are looking to identify a suspect after a Saturday night armed robbery.

Police were called at around 8:51 p.m., May 8, after man stole samosas, chips and a drink from a store on the 900-block of Columbia Street West, according to an RCMP news release. RCMP do not identify the business.

A staff member confronted him but the suspect warned the clerk to stay away as he removed a handgun from his waistband.

Police describe the suspect as a Caucasian male with dark hair and a teardrop tattoo under his right eye.

The suspect was wearing a black puffy jacket and black pants with a white logo near the bottom at the time.

Anyone who witnessed, or has information about, this incident is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2021-14962.
