A look at some of the numbers behind the rebuild of Fort McMurray, Alta.

CALGARY - A by-the-numbers look at the rebuilding challenge ahead for Fort McMurray, Alta., following this month's wildfire:

2,432: Estimated number of homes and other structures destroyed.

Six months: General time required to rebuild a detached house.

400: Restoration staff dedicated to cleaning up Fort McMurray's sole hospital before it can reopen.

550: Number of staff with utility company Atco working to restore natural gas, electricity, and water services to Fort McMurray.

$700 million: Insurance costs of Slave Lake, Alta., fire that destroyed about 400 buildings in May 2011.
