Alberta man killed crossing Tk'emlups street: Kamloops RCMP
An Alberta man was killed crossing a Tk'emlups street last night.
A sedan was driving westbound when it hit and killed the pedestrian, a man in his 30s on Jan. 5, according to Kamloops RCMP.
Police responded to the crash scene Halston Avenue near Salish Road around 6:30 p.m., closing the Halston connector for about five hours, according to a news release.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
“The sedan was travelling westbound at the time in the far right lane when the collision occurred,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the news release.
The B.C. Coroners Service is investigating concurrently, according to RCMP.
“If anyone witnessed or captured dashcam footage of the scene and has not get spoken with police, please contact investigators as soon as possible," Evelyn said.
