PENTICTON - A portion of Highway 3A near Twin Lakes was temporarily closed Saturday afternoon as an air ambulance retrieved a cyclist in distress.
Caeli Turner, a spokesperson for BC Emergency Health Services, said that a BC Air Ambulance transported a man to hospital for urgent medical attention at 1:48 p.m. He was considered to be in critical condition at the time. No further information about the cyclist, who is believed to be in his 50s, is available.
The highway was closed for approximately one hour.
