Police in Abbotsford, B.C., seek witnesses to fatal head-on collision

ABBOTSFORD, B.C. - Abbotsford police are looking for witnesses to a head-on crash that left one man dead last fall.

Officers say a Dodge Charger and Chevrolet Cavalier collided in September 2017 (on Whatcom Road), sending both drivers to hospital.

The 33-year-old driver of the Cavalier died of his injuries in hospital.

The 21-year-old driver of the Charger was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Abbotsford major crimes detectives and collision reconstructionists are investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to phone the police department or Crime Stoppers.

Note to readers: This story has been clarified. A previous version suggested the crash had just happened.
