A sunny, warm weekend is forecast for Kamloops

Brocklehurst, Rabbit Island and the Thompson River on April 6.

KAMLOOPS - It may be grey right now, but a sunny weekend is ahead for Kamloops.

Today, April 6, we can expect some showers and cloud cover, according to Environment Canada, with the showers tapering off in the afternoon, reaching a high of 11 Celsius. That’ll be followed tonight with more clouds tonight and a low of 3 C.

Tomorrow it’ll be more go the same, with a high of 12 C, a few showers and plenty of clouds. Friday night the showers will likely continue with a low of 2 C.

Saturday will make up for the showers though, with sunny skies and a high of 15 to start off the weekend. However, once the sun goes down, expect temperatures to drop to 0 C with cloudy periods over night.

Sunday will be similar, with a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day and a high of 15 C again. Overnight there’ll be a significant drop again as well, as temperatures fall to 2 C on a clear night.

Next week is looking similar, with a mix of sun and cloud, temperatures in the mid-teens and clear cool nights.

Typically this time of year we see highs of 15 C and lows of 2 C.
