A little cooler than normal for Kamloops this week

Trees are starting to bloom in Kamloops.

KAMLOOPS - Cooler than normal temperatures are forecast this week in the Okanagan along with spring showers and a little sunshine.

Today, April 24, will be mainly cloudy throughout the day, according to Environment Canada, with a 40 per cent chance of showers this morning and a high of 16 Celsius. In the evening it’ll start to clear up, becoming partly cloudy as temperatures fall to 6 C.

Tomorrow will be sunny with a high of 16 C, but things will get grey as the sun goes down, with clouds, a 30 per cent of showers and low of 7 C overnight.

The clouds will stick around on Wednesday with a high of 14 C and a 30 per cent chance of showers. The temperatures will fall to 6 C and the chance of showers rises to 60 per cent.

The damp weather will still be around through Thursday, as well, with a daytime high of 14 C, clouds, 60 per cent chance of showers and an overnight low of 5 C.

Friday things will start to warm up, with a mix of sun. A high of 18 C is expected during the day and low of 5 C at night.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of 19 C and lows of 5 C.
