Environment Canada extended its winter storm warning for the Coquihalla Highway, from Hope to Merritt.

"A strong frontal system moving in from the Pacific will bring snow to parts of interior British Columbia today," stated the Environment Canada report issued Nov. 15.

"Snow, heavy at times over the Coquihalla Highway, from Hope to Merritt, will continue today, with an accumulation of 30 to 40 centimetres forecast through this evening. Snow will taper off to a few flurries tonight."

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Road conditions are available at www.drivebc.ca.
