The new cases brings the total to 20,368 people in B.C. who have been diagnosed with the virus since the start of the pandemic, she said.

Of those, 155 people are in hospital with 44 people in critical care, Henry said. Four people have died over the last two days due to the virus, bringing the total number of deaths in B.C. to 288. Three of those people were in long-term care and one was an elderly person in the community, Henry said.

There 11,091 people on public health monitoring and 14,089 people have recovered from the virus.

Six new healthcare community outbreaks were announced today and three outbreaks have been declared over. There are 41 active outbreaks in the B.C. healthcare system.

"The pandemic has affected every area of the province," Henry said, adding more so in the Lower Mainland than in other areas of the province.
