    Starting Friday, Stage 2 Water Restrictions begin for customers of the six water systems operated by the Regional District of Central Okanagan.

    Communications Officer Bruce Smith says, “Every year from June 16th to September 15th, Stage 2 water restrictions are in effect for customers of the Star Place, Falcon Ridge, Killiney Beach, Sunset Ranch, Upper Fintry-Shalal Road-Valley of the Sun and Westshore water systems unless other restrictions are in place.

    KELOWNA - City of Kelowna water utility customers remain on a Water Quality Advisory.

    Greater Vernon Water (GVW) is informing customers that the Duteau Creek water source will be turned off the week of March 27, 2017 for planned maintenance work. GVW will be providing water to all customers from the Mission Hill Water Treatment Plant (MHWTP) supplied by Kalamalka Lake. With the change in water source, there are no health related affects to our customers.
  • Thompson-Nicola Regional District Update to Residents – Diesel Spill in North Thompson

    Water quality continues to be monitored in the Vavenby area, as a result of the recent diesel spill south of Avola. Residents that use water from the North Thompson River are advised to continue to be cautious and check their water supply for any signs of diesel fuel (sheen or odour).
  • Water quality advisory: Willowbrook water system users

    The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) in consultation with the Interior Health Authority (IHA) is issuing a Water Quality Advisory for the Willowbrook water system effective immediately until further notice. This Advisory is in response to recent bacteriological samples that have tested positive for low counts of Total Coliforms. All tested samples have been negative for E. coli.
