  • Warm up this spring with Recreation Penticton

    PENTICTON - After a cold and unforgiving winter in Penticton, it’s time to start thinking warm thoughts. Recreation Penticton can help you feel that warmth with the release of their Spring/Summer Recreation Guide which will be available to view online at Penticton.ca as of March 3. General registration begins March 8 and most residents of Penticton will receive a copy of the guide delivered the same day.
  • Rails with Trails opens for National Health and Fitness Day

    Celebrate the opening of Rails with Trails Phase 2 and National Health and Fitness Day with the City of Kelowna and PacificSport Okanagan at an event on Saturday, June 7.

    The event will run from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. where the turf meets the trail on Parkinson Recreation Centre’s east field at the corner of Spall Road and Clement Avenue.

    There will be a short ceremony at 1:15 p.m., followed by a fun walk, run or ride on the new section of Rails with Trails.
  • Rails with Trails opens for National Health and Fitness Day

    One location, two celebrations, five sports and a few Olympians – it must be National Health and Fitness Day.

    The City of Kelowna and PacificSport Okanagan will be celebrating both the opening of Rails with Trails Phase Two and National Health and Fitness Day at an event on Saturday, June 7. The event will be staged where the turf meets the trail on Parkinson Recreation Centre’s east field at the corner of Spall Road and Clement Avenue.
  • National Seniors Day 2013

    Kamloops, BC – The City of Kamloops is proud to pay tribute to the seniors who have helped build our community. National Seniors Day is an occasion for all Canadians to appreciate and celebrate seniors.

    On Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 the City of Kamloops will be joining in this National celebration by hosting a senior’s tea and social from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Tournament Capital Centre.
  • Grant to support outdoor fitness equipment at Skaha Lake Park

    Outdoor activity enthusiasts will have more options along the Penticton waterfront this fall, as the City of Penticton has secured grant funding for outdoor fitness stations.
  • Citizens recognized for their contributions to the community

    A reception will be held tonight at Hotel 540 to honour the recipients of the City of Kamloops Distinguished Service Award and the Freeman of the City Award. Ambo Dhaliwal, Sandra Blair, Pat Decker, Graham Cope, Jessie Ann Fleming, Trevor Jensen, Niki Remesz and Anthony Salituro were nominated by their peers for their contribution of time and effort to make a difference in our community.
